Your audio stays on your computer

To edit, record and export to WAV or MP3, your audio isn't uploaded to any server. Only the iPhone ringtone and sending it to AI Master use our engine: the file is uploaded and deleted automatically after a few hours.

Cuts without clicks

Every cut and join gets an inaudible fade of a few milliseconds, so no pops are left behind.

Even volume, no distortion

Normalize to the level platforms use (−14 LUFS for music, −16 LUFS for voice), watching the ceiling so it doesn't clip.

Frequently asked questions

How do I trim an audio file?

Open the file, drag over the waveform to mark the part you want and tap “Keep the selection” (or “Delete selection” to remove it). You can type exact times in From and To. Then export to MP3 or WAV.

How do I merge several audio files into one?

Drop all the files together or add them with “Add audio”: they line up one after another, in order. With “Transition between files” each one fades into the next. To layer them (a voice over music, for example), turn on Multitrack.

How do I make a ringtone?

Select up to 30 seconds, keep that part, add a fade out and export as “Android ringtone (MP3)” or “iPhone ringtone (M4R)”. Import the M4R on your iPhone with the Music app or GarageBand.

How do I make it louder without distortion?

Under “Final level” pick Music (−14 LUFS) or Voice (−16 LUFS). The editor raises the volume toward that level while watching the ceiling. If getting there would mean clipping, it stays at the cleanest maximum and tells you: getting louder without distortion takes a limiter, like AI Master's.

How do I record and change the pitch of my voice?

Tap “Record with the microphone”, allow access and record. To change the key, pick the semitones under “Pitch” and tap “Apply pitch change”: with “Keep formants” the voice keeps its natural timbre instead of sounding squeaky like a chipmunk or deep like a giant. 12 semitones is one octave up or down.

Are my files uploaded to the internet?

Not for editing, recording or exporting to WAV or MP3. They're only uploaded if you choose the iPhone ringtone (M4R) or send the result to AI Master, and in that case they're deleted automatically after a few hours.

MP3 encoding uses LAME (its browser version, lamejs), free software under the LGPL license.
